Alpha House offers an 11-month Addictions Transitional Program, a separate initiative providing safe, abstinence-based living.

What is a Step-Up House?

A step-up house is a transitional living environment that bridges the gap between intensive residential treatment and independent living. It provides a stable, structured setting for individuals in recovery who are ready for greater autonomy but still require clinical support and peer accountability.

Purpose of the Step-Up Program:

• Support Ongoing Recovery – Provides a stable, substance-free environment for continued growth.

• Encourage Autonomy – Clients take on increased responsibilities, such as working or attending school.

• Access to Support Services – Clients continue to benefit from therapy, case management, and community support.

• Prepare for Independent Living – The program helps individuals transition into self-sustained living with long-term stability.

Clients in this program benefit from:

• Access to all services offered in the Residential Supportive Treatment program

• Increased autonomy with a focus on self-sufficiency

• Encouragement to maintain employment or attend school

• Support from the clinical team in securing long-term, independent housing

Success Rate:

Our Residential Supportive Treatment program boasts a 71.4% success rate based on two years of abstinence post-treatment, reflecting our commitment to effective recovery.
