Arrival and Admission
Punctuality: Arrive on time on the day of admission. Late arrivals may lead to a cancellation.
Substance Testing: All admissions must test negative for substances, with exceptions only for pre-approved prescriptions.
Duration: The admission process can take up to two hours.
Once Admitted
Freedom with Structure: Once settled, clients may come and go within the centre’s schedule and programming.
Mandated Schedule: Alpha House has a structured schedule that takes priority over any other commitments, including work and external appointments. You’ll receive a schedule upon admission, which is also available on the website's weekly schedule page.
Curfew: Curfew is 11:30 p.m. Returning late will result in being unable to enter and may lead to discharge from the program.
Weekend Passes
Eligibility: Weekend passes can be obtained after completing 30 days in the program.
Duration: Weekend passes start on Friday morning and end on Sunday at 5 p.m.
Work Policy
First 30 Days: Clients are not permitted to work within the first 30 days.
Program Requirements
Day Programming: Most clients will attend Oasis Recovery programming during the day.
Self-Help Meetings: Clients are required to attend two self-help meetings weekly, in addition to in-house programming and weekly case management.
