Alpha House is a post-treatment, second- and third-stage program for self-identified men who have already completed a 28-day (or similar) residential addiction treatment program.

4-Month Residential Supportive Treatment – post-treatment, men-only
11-Month Transitional Housing (Step-Up) – abstinence-based housing and reintegration

Community mental health and addiction services (CMHA branches, CHCs, hospital outpatient clinics)
Peer supports and alumni community, including:
SMART Recovery

Refer men who are completing 28-day programs and:
Cannot safely return to their previous environment
Face homelessness, unsafe housing, or high relapse risk
Need longer, structured support to stabilize mental health and build a new life

Coordinate housing and support pathways for Alpha House graduates
Collaborate on shared clients with complex needs (mental health, justice, medical)
Build local referral loops between shelters, CHCs, RAAM clinics, and Alpha House

Co-create culturally safe pathways for Indigenous men and men from diverse communities

Eligibility: Self-identified men 18+, Ontario residents, addiction issues, post 28-day treatment, 30 days abstinent (except OAT), negative urine screen
Application: Virtual form, follow-up call, policy review, and intake assessment
