With over 20 years of experience in project management and consulting, Richard specializes in the commercial construction industry, focusing on doors, frames, finishing hardware, security systems, and accessibility solutions. His primary emphasis is in the Private-Public Partnership (PPP) sector, where he successfully manages a variety of complex construction projects. His extensive experience and commitment to quality service have established him as a trusted leader in the industry.
Richard’s lived experience with addiction informs his leadership style and approach to service. Roman Riticca, Vice Chair of the Alpha House Board of Directors
Roman Riticca is a 17-year alumnus of Alpha House and currently serves as the Vice Chair of its Board of Directors. As the primary stakeholder for the board, Roman plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s vision and direction. His journey through recovery not only informs his perspective but also fuels his passion for supporting others on their paths to healing.
As the owner and operator of a large concrete company, Roman brings extensive expertise in construction and project management to a variety of capital projects that enhance Alpha House’s growth and sustainability. His professional background enables him to provide invaluable insights into the operational and infrastructural needs of the organization.
In addition to his board responsibilities, Roman is the driving force behind the Annual Alpha House Gala, where he has been instrumental in bridging the gap between Alpha House and the broader recovery community. Through this event, he fosters connections and builds support networks that empower individuals in recovery.

Jamie Gold, Secretary of the Alpha House Board of Directors
Jamie Gold is a seasoned lawyer with a distinguished career that began on Bay Street, where he specialized in litigating complex business disputes. Currently, he provides expert legal counsel to small and medium-sized businesses that require specialized guidance without the need for full-time in-house counsel or full-service law firms. His extensive knowledge in legal matters equips him to assist clients in navigating various challenges effectively.
Beyond his legal practice, Jamie is a passionate advocate for individuals with special needs and disabilities, offering behind-the-scenes support and guidance. His dedication to this cause reflects his deep sense of responsibility and compassion for those facing adversity.

Lauren Jeffery, Board Member
Lauren Jeffery is a dynamic facilitator and Registered Psychotherapist, bringing over 20 years of experience in the Wealth Management sector, primarily focusing on compliance and business development. As the founder of Point. Shift, an educational consulting firm, Lauren specializes in the emotional dynamics between Wealth Management professionals and their clients.
Point. Shift is dedicated to helping financial advisors navigate the challenges they face by emphasizing the importance of understanding behaviours and feelings. Through her engaging approach, Lauren equips advisors with the tools they need to work effectively with their clients and thrive in their practices.
Peter Tarshis
Alpha House Volunteer Board Member and Fundraising Committee Chair
Peter Tarshis is a grateful alumnus of Alpha House, having completed the program in 2002. Through Alpha House's care, support, and guidance during his early recovery, he has built a strong foundation for a new life, free from alcohol and drug addiction. Peter remains an active member of A 12 Step Program, demonstrating his commitment to ongoing recovery.
In addition to his recovery journey, Peter is dedicated to volunteering as a social advocate for vulnerable populations. He has previously served as a board member for the Seeds of Hope Foundation and Our Homes for Men in Recovery.
As an established Realtor in the Toronto/GTA area, Peter has earned recognition for his community involvement, including the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board's Community Service Award in 2016 and the Platinum Award for excellence in real estate sales at Right At Home Brokerage.
Peter’s unique experiences and dedication make him a valuable addition to the Alpha House Board of Directors, where he continues to contribute to the mission of supporting individuals in recovery.
