Support Abstinence based treatment
Alpha House’s Long-Term Abstinence-Based Recovery Housing Program, also known as the Addictions Transitional Housing (Step-Up Program), provides supportive, substance-free housing for individuals who have completed residential treatment and are ready to continue building independence.
This program offers a stable, structured living environment that bridges the gap between intensive treatment and fully independent living, while maintaining accountability, peer connection, and access to clinical support.
A step-up house is a transitional living environment that supports individuals who are stable in their recovery but benefit from continued structure and community. Residents are encouraged to take on increased responsibility while remaining connected to recovery supports.
The Long-Term Recovery Housing Program is designed to:
Support sustained recovery in a safe, abstinence-based environment
Encourage autonomy, responsibility, and self-sufficiency
Maintain access to clinical, peer, and community supports
Prepare residents for long-term, independent housing
Residents in the Step-Up Program benefit from:
Supportive, abstinence-based housing with a focus on stability and long-term recovery
Continued access to clinical and recovery services offered through Alpha House
Increased independence with clear expectations and accountability
Strong encouragement to maintain employment, education, or training
Ongoing case management and clinical support
Assistance securing long-term, independent housing
The Long-Term Abstinence-Based Recovery Housing Program is ideal for individuals who are ready to practice independent living while remaining grounded in recovery. The program reinforces life skills, strengthens confidence, and supports lasting abstinence through structure, community, and accountability.
