Candace Ramsey, Human Services Counsellor
Candace has been a part of the Alpha House team since 2013. Candace is a graduate from the Human Services Counsellor program at Durham College. Previous to Alpha House Candace worked as a vocational counsellor and a youth worker.
Michael Gillis, Addictions Counsellor
Michael is a graduate of the Addictions Counsellor and Community Service Worker program from Corinthian Colleges Inc. At Alpha House Michael facilitates group sessions, completed client assessments and is part of our shared case management and referral team.
Sylvester Ratna, Front Line Counsellor
Sylvester is a 17 year veteran in the Social Service field and working with clients in the vulnerable sector. Sylvester is a Human Relations and Communication Counsellor, Motivational interviewer and has a Bachelor of Arts.
Alpha House is an addiction recovery community addressing the needs of self identified men and non-binary people of ages 18 and upwards. At Alpha House we believe that recovery from substance abuse and addiction must address every aspect of the individual. As a result, our programs address physical, mental, spiritual and social needs - all in an effort to support the individual recovery from addiction.
Alpha House has as its sole purpose the assistance of those who suffer from chemical dependency or substance abuse. Over the years, our residents have successfully recovered for addictions of every type - alcohol, cocaine, crack, heroin, meth, and many other substances. Our program contributed by helping them through the difficulties of their recovery and helping them discover of a new,independent and meaningful life in sobriety.
Jordan Anderson, Executive Director
Registered Psychotherapist, ICADC, CCCS
Jordan Anderson is a Registered Psychotherapist with a specialization in Opiate addiction, mental health and Tobacco Cessation. Jordan Anderson also has a International Certification as an Addictions Counsellor and Clinical Supervision with the CACCF. Previous to Alpha House, Jordan Anderson worked for Renascent Treatment Centre in Brooklin, Ont. as the Primary Opiate Specialist and Case manager with adult males in recovery from a variety of concurrent disorders. In addition to Jordan’s current vocational position, he is also a member of the Professional Advisory board with Fleming College, The marketing Committee of the CACCF and a member of the Harm Reduction Network of Ontario.
Carl Mann, Frontline Addictions Worker
Carl is graduating from the Community Worker Program at George Brown College this year. He started as a placement student in September of 2017 and was hired as a relief staff in October. Carl is a great addition to the staff here at Alpha House!
Dr. Jacob (Jake) Bobrowski, M.D., F.A.A.F.P., C.C.S.A.M., F.A.S.A.M.
Dr. Bobrowski is trained as a family physician and addictions specialist. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Jake conducts onsite addiction education sessions at Alpha House and sees many of our clients on an individual basis.Dr. Jocob Bobrowski has been volunteering his services at Alpha House for over 20 years.

Alpha House is also funded in part by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (Local Health Integration Network) and by private donations. Henry Boroi, Front Line Worker
Henry has been with Alpha House for since 2011 and is an integral part of our team dynamics. Henry brings a sense of calm and peace to the house and watches over our clients during sleeping hours. Henry has a Bachelor degree in Commerce from the University of DACCA and is graduate of Metro College Accounting and Office Administration program.
Darren Greer, Relapse Prevention Worker
Darren is a veteran of Social Services with over 20 years experiance varying from Addiction, Mental Health and Aids advocacy. In addition to Darrens social services contributions Darren is also a published writter with four novels to his name
