Tom Gabriel, Treasurer
After 35 years as a Police Officer (now retired), Toms career also included being the former president of the Canadian Addictions Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF) and being awarded the Peter Armstrong Award for excellence in the field of Addiction. Tom was also awarded the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his many years of assisting Police Service Members and their families with crisis, mental health and addiction issues. Tom is the currently a EFAP Consultant, Crisis & Addiction Counsellor at the Toronto Police Association. Educated at McMaster University as an Addiction Care Worker, he also hold two certificates in addiction counselling from the CACCF.
Ken Hare, Chair
For over two decades Ken has been involved in community work and social services in various capacities. He has also assisted to incorporate, draft by-laws, support and sit on Boards of several provincial and federal not-for-profit corporations. Ken is employed as a lawyer with the Ministry of the Attorney General, and also teaches land use planning law on a part-time basis at Osgoode Hall Law School and at the Faculty of Environmental Studies, York University. Having seen friends benefit greatly from Alpha House Ken is committed supporter of the house.
Daniel has been involved in the recovery community for over a decade. He has a background in project management and holds a certificate in Project Management from Ryerson University. He currently works in the health and fitness field. Daniel is also continuing his education at Ryerson University studying a Bachelors of Arts in Arts and Contemporary Studies with a focus in Anthropology.
Roman Ritacca, Director
Roman is a long standing Alumni of Alpha House with ties to the recovery community as whole. Roman is a valued member of our team and the sole person responsible for the Alpha House Annual Gala.
